Our design process is tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each project. Our goal is to compliment the architecture of your home, function of the space and connect the natural environment surrounding it. Start the design process by contacting us for a copy of our design questionnaire developed to help you take inventory of the unique needs of your landscape project and to arrange an on-site consultation.

Our Process

The Conversation
You reach out — by form, phone, or email. We'll ask a few questions about your property and what you're imagining. No pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation to see if we're the right fit for each other.

Site Visit & Discovery
We come to your land. Melissa walks the property with you, listens to what you love and what isn't working, and begins to see what the space could become. This visit shapes everything that follows.

Design
Melissa develops a design rooted in your site, your life, and Vashon's specific plant communities. You'll see concept drawings, a planting plan, and material selections before a single thing is built.

Build
Nathan leads the installation with the same care the design received. You'll hear from us regularly throughout the build. When we finish, we walk through everything together and leave you with a care plan for the first season.
The Long View
WHAT SETS US APART
The project doesn't end at installation. We offer ongoing seasonal maintenance and care — a long-term relationship with your landscape that lets it become what it was designed to be over time.
